Helpful tips on working with the corporate strategy template:
-
Instead of Objective A, Objective B etc., specific corporate objectives will be listed. Columns 2015, 2016, 2017 will then include the planned development of the given objective that the company wishes to fulfill.
-
Instead of SBU 1, SBU 2 etc., the specific name of the given SBU, as defined by the company, will be listed – e.g. a company which provides language teaching and translating services can be divided into language courses SBU 1 and translations SBU 2 etc. For each SBU, the main competitive advantage is indicated (price, quality etc., re: the generic competitive strategy, re: the Generic Competitive Logic column),
as well as which markets the given product or service will be sold in – specifically, for example, which regions, countries etc. If the company plans on expanding into other markets, indicate this in the Market column, including a time schedule for expansion into new markets – e.g. in the Market field for SBU 1, we can indicate: 2015 – Brno and surrounding area, 2016 – Brno and surrounding area, Prague, 2017- Brno and surrounding area, Prague, Ostrava, Hradec Králové. HOW this expansion will be implemented will be determined when formulating a more detailed business strategy, when addressing the variable P – Place (distribution). - Andra viktiga tips om hur man arbetar med mallen ingår i allmänna förslag inom detta material.
